Reported by: kcr Owned by: MarkDoliner

Description

I'm receiving an "Incorrect Password" message when attempting to log into ICQ. My PC sits behind a corporate firewall however, I am able to log-in to ICQ with my existing password using Trillian. Others in the company are able to use Pidgin with ICQ. Internal help desk unable to determine the cause and advise firewall isn't the issue.

This bug has started occurring again, apparently passwords need to be hashed via md5.

Miranda IM apparently has this option, but Pidgin doesn't.

Looks like there's a ticket to add md5: #4449.

I'm closing this as a duplicate of #4449. Obviously, this one came first, but Mark filed that one himself with some more detail about how it should be implemented. I've added you both to the CC list on that ticket.
