Prevent Pidgin from stealing focus to other applications

Reported by: GdabZ Owned by:

Description

I run Windows XP.

When I'm playing fullscreen games or when I'm using any other application, and a contact comes in and speaks to me, if his conversation window hasn't been formerly opened then it steals focus to the current application.

If the contact window is already opened then it just flashes on the taskbar, which is fine.

You should add a checkbox to prevent new conversations to steal focus to the current application.

Thanks, and sorry for the clumsy english.

Replying to GdabZ:

It would be nice if new windows could be set to open up as new minimized windows, with flashing entries in the taskbar.
