Available status cleared/erased when clicking New... from status selector

If my status is set to available with a global message (not the same as #2377 which doesn't allow editing of a per account message) or a complex status, and I click the status selector, and select "New...", then I am given a blank box with no text and my other accounts that previously had a status are not set to have a separate status.

This differs from the behavior seen if the current global status is away. In that case, clicking "New..." allows editing of the current status rather than writing a new one from scratch. I would expect going to "New..." from any status allows editing of the current status. To reflect this, the wording should probably changed from "New..." to "Edit current...", "Other...", or something similar.
