Support ICQ text formatting using RTF messages

If i write with another person via ICQ, i can't select bold, italic and another formats for the text. All messages from another person don't have any formats to.

Pidgin doesn't support RTF formatting, which would be be necessary to support ICQ formatted text.

If Pidgin don't support formating, then i don't understand what this "formating" button is for...

Where is the problem to implement rtf formating? (in XMMP i can use formating button)

datallah: I'd like to support RTF formatting for ICQ at some point in the future. I didn't see another open ticket about it, so I'm going to use this one.

devrabbit: Pidgin supports formatting for other protocols, but not ICQ. The problem with implementing RTF formatting is that it takes work, and no one has put forth the effort required.
