Description
The log reader plugin should support a "original source" directory for each log directory. This would be used primarily by migration-assistant. It would copy the logs from Windows (for example) to Linux and set the destination directory as the main directory for logs. The Windows directory would be set as the "source" directory. The log reader plugin would check both directories and use the newer content. This would allow the log reader plugin to work like it's supposed to (reading data on the fly), and migration-assistant to work properly (doing a one-time migration). The only way you'd run into a problem is if you deleted the Windows logs without copying them. You'd lose any changes that happened after you ran migration-assistant. I'm not sure how to deal with that, or if we need to.
