Description

I've tried updating libcairo-2.dll to fix this as one post suggested but nothing changed. I only use pidgin for AIM. Error message below:

I'll just chime in to say I'm getting the same crashes with a similar call stack. The final call is in libcairo at 0x76ad44ff I can provide a minidump.dmp if that's helpful, but of course it doesn't have any symbols so it probably wouldn't help much. I seems to me like crash is more likely to happen at the moment a chat window is redrawn. It just happened now when the screen blanker was turned off.

I think I have identified the exact problem with GTK/Cairo. Details on their trackers.

When the GTK and Cairo bugs listed are fixed, these pidgin/gaim tickets should be hopefully all be resolved as well

I get this error often, too. It can happen upon launching Pidgin, viewing the buddy list, or even just typing in IRC.
