Message could not be sent because a connection error occurred

When sending MSN messages I will randomly get this error after sending messages, usually some 3-5 minutes after I've sent them, it's extremely annoying because I'm thinking I'm being ignored till this error kicks back, it is actually to the point where I wont use Pidgin for MSN anymore and will fall back on dopey MSN messenger.

Alas I'm not sure exactly what details can help in fixing this, but I've had this issue in all versions of Pidgin since I first started using it.

I see the same issue. Random messages are failing to send using MSN. I've seen this on 2.5.0 and 2.5.1. I can't be sure, but it only seems to happen when talking to people who are using the official MSN client. I've never had a problem talking to other people on Pidgin or Trillian through the MSN protocol. If there is anything you want me to try or info I could provide, please let me know.

same happen to me. I have to delog and relogin again. i am also wondering why is this timeout set to 5 min. it's a bit long for IM ! i think a 1min timer would be more than enough.

it is annoying to the point i am even considering to switch back to live messenger.

i would be really glad to help to solve the problem. to reproduce : connect to msn, wait a few minutes. talk to someone. 50% of the time you get no anwser and within 5min topchrono you get the error.
