Pidgin 2.5.1 - Yahoo Unknown error number 0

Description

I started receiving an error message in reference to my Yahoo account that I use with Pidgin 2.5.1. It logs my account offline and notifies me of an error message just above my status message. The message reads, "Unknown error number 0. Logging into the Yahoo website may fix this." I contemplated perhaps my account was not secure and someone may be logging into it from another computer, so I did change the password. However the outcome has not changed and it continues to boot me approximately every 3 hours in the same manner.

The options given with this message are "Modify Account" and "Re-enable." I have checked the account settings, which seem fine, so I simply re-enable the account. But as I said before, it continues approximately every 3 hours regardless.

Is there something I can do? Thank you.

I'm having the same problem. I tried logging in to yahoo and re-enabling my email there, but I still get the error every few hours or so. I wonder if it has something to do with that new feature where logging into your email also logs you into IM. Any solutions you have would be appreciated. Thanks!

This happens to me too. All my Yahoo accounts receive the error at roughly the same time. Maybe it's a server error?

I don't know enough about the protocol to make any knowledgeable recommendations, but changing the error 0 from "disable account" to "reconnect [some number] times then disable account" seems like it'd fix this.

I am also now receiving this error. I have been using Pidgin before it was renamed and never had this issue.
