I solved the problem with the msn login. It seems like my friendly name exceeded the maximum length allowed by the msn protocol, still pidgin didn't warn me of the issue when I try to change the name. If you can add a warning message when one's friendly name is too long for the protocol it would be great.

btw I still experience the problem described in #7849.

Thanks for the attention.

Your problem is with Offline Messages. If you had taken a log from before the crash, I might have been able to fix it. Please get one if the problem occurs again.

Strange.. after logging in to my account with a webmessenger (iloveim), pidgin does not crash anymore.. Maybe this is a possible workaround..worth a try.

Another mentionable notice: The red message about the certification got disappeared. "nss: partial certificate chain".. but maybe this is just a coincidence

Yesterday, I updated to 2.5.3 and just a few hour ago when I sent an offline to someone on my MSC list and Pidgin crash, but it reopened just fine. About 1hour ago, it did the same thing, but now whenever I try to open it, it opens good till the MSN protocol gets connected for what I see.

Apparently X-OIM-Proxy was not a good way to decide that we received a multi-part message. Now always just split if a boundary is available from the content-type. Try and match the telephone number before the using the address from the From line.

Fixes #7901.

Hi,

sorry if I'm messing up as I'm a bit new around here...

Crash at Start-Up Fix: I posted an idea how to "solve" it under my ticket though I'm not 100% how it affects the rest (it's posted in the end):

My ticket (8001) was marked as a dupe of this, however, I see no solution to my problem here.

Tried downloading and replacing libpurble.dll with the one linked from here, but problem remains. Could someone please review my ticket?
