Format "New..." status in default formatting

Description

Status messages created by the "New..." use the default format (black text on white background) unless the user changes it via the formatting toolbar, regardless of the user's default formatting (Tools > Preferences > Conversations). It is annoying to set your preferred formatting every time you want to create a new status message.
