Auto Accept Plugin doesn't work

Reported by: Menedas Owned by: datallah
Milestone: Component: winpidgin (gtk)
Version: 2.0 Keywords: auto accept plugin
Cc:

Description

I have activated the auto accept plugin and also clicked on the user to allow auto accept files. But if I get a file it always asks me to accept the file and also have to select the directory.

Auto-accept is a 3rd party plugin. Please file the ticket at http://plugins.guifications.org/trac/

In Jabber too?

  • Owner changed from datallah to sadrul

This is sadrul's plugin; assigning the bug to him.

What's the path specified to use to save the auto-accepted files in the plugin's configuration options? Do you have write access in there?

Does the error happen for all protocols? Or does it work for some protocols, and doesn't work for some others?

Testing file transfer with pidgin is a bit difficult as most file transfers does not work with it. But I have found out that ICQ file transfer with the original ICQ client works. And with it the auto accept plug in works too. So it looks like that it only does not work with the XMPP protocol.

comment:8 Changed 12 years ago by sadrul

Does it not work for anyone on XMPP, or just for someone whom you have more than once in the buddylist?

comment:9 Changed 12 years ago by Menedas

I only have two people in my buddy list an only one XMPP account. But today I have tested it with the debug log and always get this message: build_dir: mkdir: No such file or directory

I try to save to C:\Downloads. The Directory exists and is writable. Trillian saves file transfers there, too.

I also tried C:\ d: and d:\ with the same result.

Tell me, if you want to test it with me directly over jabber.

Is this still a problem? Did you happen to find why this happens?

comment:11 in reply to: ↑ 10 Changed 12 years ago by Menedas

The problem still exists in the current version too.

I have no idea why/when mkdir fails on windows.

I am sure datallah knows! O:-)

I can't recreate this.

Does the name of the file sent contain non-ASCII characters or something?

comment:14 Changed 11 years ago by Menedas

  • pending changed from 1 to 0

The filename is the same as used with the ICQ Protocol in which it works. It does have normal ASCII characters.

Does this still happen?

If so, please provide a debug log.

It seems to be fixed. Thank you to the one who made it.
