xmppdisco plugin: Success message after canceling "registration" to conference service

Reported by: salty-horse Owned by: deryni
Milestone: Component: XMPP
Version: 2.7.9 Keywords: xmppdisco

Tested on Windows and Linux.

  1. Enable the xmppdisco plugin.
  2. Enter the name of a service that includes a conference service, such as
  3. Right-click on the conference service and choose "Register".
  4. A message box will pop up with the text "Nickname Registration at" asking you to enter a nickname (in Russian)
  5. Press "cancel"
  6. A "Registration Successful" message will appear

I expected "cancel" to cancel the registration process.

This may or may not be working as expected we would need to see the Help->Debug Window output from this process to be sure. Could you paste or attach it here?

Here I choose "Register"

jabber: Sending (ssl) ( <iq type='get' to='' id='purpledisco8011d540'><query xmlns='jabber:iq:register'/></iq>
jabber: Recv (ssl)(638): <iq from="" to="" id="purpledisco8011d540" type="result"><query xmlns="jabber:iq:register"><instructions>Чтобы зарегистрировать псевдоним, требуется x:data-совместимый клиент</instructions><x xmlns="jabber:x:data"><title>Регистрация псевдонима на</title><instructions>Введите псевдоним, который Вы хотели бы зарегистрировать</instructions><field type="text-single" label="Псевдоним" var="nick"><value/></field></x></query></iq>

Now I cancel the registration

jabber: Sending (ssl) ( <iq type='set' id='purple5c8d7c87' to=''><query xmlns='jabber:iq:register'><x xmlns='jabber:x:data' type='cancel'/></query></iq>
jabber: Recv (ssl)(145): <iq from="" to="" id="purple5c8d7c87" type="result"><query xmlns="jabber:iq:register"/></iq>

Seems like it's a bug in ejabberd. Will report there

On second thought, does the type='cancel' message sent by Pidgin follow any specification?
