Did you check the "Recurring" box when you created the pounce?

Thanks for the comment, but yes, surely I did. The alarms work as intended, as long as there is none of these irregular disconnects from the facebook-server (they have no relation to dsl-disconnects or something). But when one of these disconnects happens, the alarms are gone and I have to enter them new. Btw, in this case also the manual sorting of my fb-contacts vanishes

We honor the server-side roster on XMPP, so if you want Facebook buddies in different groups, you have to create groups and such via the Facebook website. If you're setting pounces on the buddies you've moved to other groups, then that's why they're disappearing--we remove the buddies because they don't exist on the server list, and any pounces associated with those buddies are deleted as well. If the pounces are set on the moved buddies, then Pidgin is functioning as designed.

I don't know whether I get you. I didn't move my fb-contacts to any groups, it's OK for me to have them in the generel 'fb-friends' group. Inside of fb, any of them is assigned to one or some list(s), but I didn't change anything within Pidgin (unless the manual sorting order) ... (sorry btw if my english is bad)

Now I noticed another odd thing in context with the groups. I used to use Pidgin in german, but it seems to be the same with the english localization. In Pidgin, I seem to have two groups of facebook friends, one is named english 'facebook friends' and one is named german 'Facebook-Freunde' and my contacts are spread over both groups - sometimes, not always. This wasn't different when I tried a reinstallation with english language settings. Temporarily, I set the pounces.xml to write-protected now, but I still think there 's something between Facebook and Pidgin (and I fear, it 's on Facebook's side) that keeps all those stuff from working stable. Also, the problem that I thought didn't reappear ( just reoccured, but this worked again after a few sign-out-sign-ins. --- Update: Setting the pounces.xml to write protected didn't help against the pounces being lost after "Connection reset by peer" from the fb-server.
