#4934 new enhancement

Allow user to expand all windows simulaneously

Reported by: beantmt Owned by: sadrul

Description

I think a lot of users would appreciate the ability to expand all windows (except maybe the buddy list) simultaneously. For example, I keep all my chat window the same size, which I imagine is quite common, but when I want to expand my terminal window to show a bigger chat window, I have to resize (alt+r) every individual chat window (usually at least 6 or 7 irc channels). It would be really nice to have an option to resize them all at the same time.

Clarification: I don't think it's necessary to be able to resize all windows at the same time, just be able to expand them all to fit the virtual terminal.

This seems to be possible with the latest finch release using alt+shift+k.

Which release? I'm using finch-2.4.1-3.1 and alt+shift+k doesn't seem to do anything.

Maybe it has something to do with my custom window manager:

$ cat ~/.gntrc [general] # use a custom window manager wm = /usr/lib64/gnt/irssi.so

Let's try that again

Maybe it has something to do with my custom window manager:

$ cat ~/.gntrc
[general]
# use a custom window manager
wm = /usr/lib64/gnt/irssi.so
