Changing IRC nickname to existing one doesn't generate error

  1. Join an IRC network.
  2. Find an existing nickname, say 'foo'
  3. Type "/nick foo". Pidgin will return "You are now known as fo1"
  4. Type "/nick foo" again. Pidgin will not notify you of anything.

Notify the user if an IRC /nick command fails, rather than trying fallbacks. This code should not come into play on initial connect, but only on /nick commands issued by the user. If it does, we'll have to try again.

Still doesn't work for me. I get into IRC with a taken nick, It changes to nick1, I do a ghost command (thus disconnecting the taken nick) Trying to change to nick, and nothing. (nick is definitely disconnected at this time and not taken)

This is an unrelated bug, please open a new one. Include the contents of the debug window from when you issue the failed /nick command.
