Description
so i'm not sure if this is a defect or what it relates to the plugins. I added my extra third party plugins in the program files way, but learned that they should be delted each time i install a new version of pidgin, but they don't - they remain there each time. While perhaps a good feature at times I ran into an issue tonight (due to my own stupdity) but was wondering if pidgin should 'start fresh' in the program files plugin directory or not.
hope that made sense.

i just switched all my plugins to there. i was merely saying/asking that i kept my plugins in pidgin/plugins and they remained there after each time i installed a new version, which from as i was told, is an unexpected behavior

ah now i understand what you mean: Plugins in pidgin-install-directory stay there after installing a new pidgin but they shouldn't?? They only should stay in .purple/plugins ?

If we removed stuff people would cry (and have done so).
I don't think we should be messing with stuff that we didn't put there. Note that we do delete some things (e.g. pixmaps) in the uninstaller that we didn't put there, but this is something of a misfeature.
you should save your plugins in /.purple/Plugins
this should fix your problem, I think.
