#5549 new enhancement

purple_request_field_string_new needs a "html" hint like purple_request_input

Reported by: isleshocky77 Owned by: deryni
Milestone: Component: pidgin (gtk)
Version: 2.4.1 Keywords:

field_group_message = purple_request_field_group_new(NULL);
purple_request_fields_add_group(fields, field_group_message);
field = purple_request_field_string_new("groupMessage", "Message", NULL, TRUE);
purple_request_field_set_type_hint(field, "html");
purple_request_field_group_add_field(field_group_message, field);

  _("Group Message"),
  _("You can send this message to any of the below checked users"),
  _("OK"), G_CALLBACK(do_it_cb),
  _("Cancel"), G_CALLBACK(dont_do_it_cb),

Should output the same HTML text box which is outputted by doing:

purple_request_input(group, _("Spam"),
  _("Please enter the message to send"),
  "", TRUE, FALSE, "html",
  _("Send"), G_CALLBACK(do_it_cb),
  _("Cancel"), G_CALLBACK(dont_do_it_cb),
  NULL, NULL, NULL, list);

Note: Both are setting the hint to "html"

I can't comment on whether this should or should not happen, but maybe you could jump on to #pidgin via IRC and bring it up with the developers...
