yahoo not showing all my buddies

Description

this is recent problem...in pidgin, not all of my buddies appear online. I read through some other tickets and saw how some people were able to chat with these offline buddies, but I cannot. I downloaded the newest yahoo messenger client, and when I use that, I see all of my buddies and have no problems. I have tried switching to the 4 different pager servers found here (http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger8/messenger/messenger-03.html) and nothing fixed it. We do have a firewall here at work (meaning to use the regular yahoo client, I have to check the box "firewall with no proxy") and that allows the regular client to work but for some reason pidgin just isnt cooperating. Any help is greatly appreciated. Again this issue just started happening

If you Buddies->Show Offline Buddies do these buddies appear? Can you then chat with them?

They don't show up as offline or you can't chat with them? (or both)

Just to clarify because it isn't necessarily clear above, is the following accurate?

If you "Show Offline Buddies" these buddies DO appear in your buddy list (as being Offline).

When you try to IM one of these Buddies (by clicking on the Entry in the buddy list above) they do not receive your message.

If you immediately sign in with the native Yahoo client, these buddies appear as being ONLINE and you can IM them.

If the above is true, please provide the full debug output from logging into your yahoo account and specify the ids of some of the users that this issue occurs for so that we can cross-reference them in the log.

I put this to pending status, If you see the issue again, please collect the debug information and reply - if not, just do nothing and this'll be automatically closed in 14 days.
