Pidgin crashed every time i disconnect from my PPPOE connection

Hey! First of all, very nice program. It helped me a lot. I have first discovered it on Ubuntu and now i currently run it also on Windows Xp. But now after a while it caused me problems. It works fine but when i disconnect from my pppoe connection, it says that:" Pidgin has encountered a problem and needs to close." Errore signature: AppName?: pidgin.exe AppVer?: ModName?: msvcrt.dll ModVer?: 7.0.2600.5512 Offset: 000378c0 What should i do?

Found this ticket via #7352. Both are marked as closed/resolved, yet I still experience this regularly - as in several times a day. I also get numerous errors from AVG that the icon JPGs may contain the "Exploit" virus. (I am using v2.6.4)

jscottsmith: Your crash issue is going to be something different, please file a new ticket with a crash report. We can't control your buddies using icons that may trigger vulnerability in some JPEG implementations - I assume that none of the icons that AVG complains about are actually shipped by Pidgin.
