"Encoding setting" has disappeared from Advanced tab (Accounts->your ICQ account->Edit Account)

Description

"Encoding setting" is absent in program. User can't read Cyrillic messages from his buddies. And can't do anything with it.

Are you sure you have the ICQ protocol selected and not the AIM protocol on the Basic tab? The Advanced tab for the two protocols is identical except for the existence of the Encoding field for ICQ accounts.

Yes. You are right. It was AIM. I have selected ICQ protocol now. Encoding == cp1251. But I still can't read Cyrillic messages from my buddy that have SIM ICQ client. His client Encoding is also windows 1251. Does my "Encoding setting" really work?

Note: All Cyrillic messages were read fine by pidgin-2.3.1.

Please test this with GTK+ 2.12.12 (from

here).

The problem stays the same with GTK+ 2.12.12. Cyrillic messages from SIM-buddies are unreadable still.

What about with GTK+ 2.14.6?
