Pidgin crashes all the time

Reported by: WeEzE Owned by: rekkanoryo
Milestone: Component: unclassified
Version: 2.5.2 Keywords: Segmentation, faul, dbus,Dbus

I guess it's some issue with the Dbus progress. when i run pidgin via terminal with the debugger, it shows in nearly every line some errors like:

dbus: The signal "gtkblist-unhiding" caused some dbus error. (If you are not a developer, please ignore this message.)

so ... unfortunately i am not able to fix the problem so i would appreciate it if you would answer fast, because i am not in touch with another messanger, and i really don't want to use any other. I like pidgin quite well and it work very fine until i did anything wrong without recognizing it.

So long... best regards Dennis Frank

The dbus warnings likely have nothing to do with the crash, and (as it even says in the message) can probably be ignored. Please attach a backtrace of pidgin crashing; the process is outlined in the GetABacktrace page.

so...i allready made a backtrace but it just gave me the report that the backtrace didn't work properly, some message with "??" in it...I'm not at home at the moment, so i can unfortunately not copy the error-message. But as soon i am at home i will paste it in here ;) so...fare well :) and hang in please

Is this still an issue? Can you test/reproduce with 2.5.8?
