Hi, For some reason, many of my sametime users are marked incorrectly as offline.

This bug is similar to #2117 ticket but I still have the problem.

this is the same as bug #58, except that it is not fixed. I have attempted to download the most recent version of meanwhile from sourceforge and substitute it in for the file in /usr/lib64/purple-2 and it did not work at all (sametime protocol was no longer available as a selection in account information).

There is no libmeanwhile on my system.

Running CentOS 5.3 with Pidgin 2.5.9-1.el5 (libpurple 2.5.9).

  • Status changed from new to pending

The meanwhile you downloaded is not the same thing as You would need to check with the Redhat packager about whether pidgin uses a systemwide meanwhile or built-in. if it's systemwide, you'd want to replace something in /usr/lib64 (probably).

thanks darkrain42, i found libmeanwhile under /usr/lib64/

It is running the latest version in the repository, which is also the latest version on

any recommendations on getting this fixed?

No, not really. I don't use Sametime and have absolutely no experience with it (nor is there an active Pidgin developer who does, AFAIK). Attach the Help->Debug Window output for when this happens, though.
