Description

I was writing a pal and pasted various URLs into the chat and he didn't see them. I usually paste from the URL bar of my browser, but I made the step pasting it into notepad and into the chat and it still wasn't working. He is using the website and I am using Pidgin 2.5.8 on Windows XP x64.

The URL are actually being parsed out of the chats. I send him

testtesttestst http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OpVEBPayUY teststetsste

and he just got

testtesttestst teststetsste

It affects URLs, that Pidgin will show as clickable in the chat window. If I drop the "http://www." part it's visible to my pal.

  • Status changed from new to pending

If you send a message that contains a link but not the text "http://www." (in the content of the link), does that work? Use the Conversation->Insert Link to try.
