Installing Pidgin on Windows

To install Pidgin on windows you will first need to download the install package from the Download section of the pidgin website: ​http://pidgin.im/download

Once the download is complete double click on the file to start it.

The install program will ask you where you want to install the application and for the most cases the defaults will be suitable.

Once the application is installed a new program group will have been added to the "Start" menu. To start Pidgin click on the Pidgin shortcut within the start menu.

When you start Pidgin for the first time the "Accounts" dialog box is shown, clicking on the "Add" button
