The Right Thing to Do

The following are a list of properties which patches and feature suggestions must fit before they are likely to be considered for acceptance.

  • We should not send things to servers that the official clients do not.
  • We should obey our DesignGuidelines.
  • We should display on 800x640.
  • libpurple (and any of its protocol plugins or core plugins) must not use GTK+
  • libpurple should not require a specific environment such as GNOME or Windows.
  • Pidgin should not require GNOME.
  • Finch should work in screen(1) from a remote workstation.
