Add Ethan's XMPP idea to the SoC and Bounties project list. I think encrypted IM is important, by the way. Unencrypted IM is less needed in a world of smart phones, instant email notifications, Facebook Chat and Google Talk, What's App and unlimited SMS. But client-based end-to-end encryption is still important and can be better.
