1515=== Is there a user mailing list? ===
    1616
17 We maintain only one general-topics mailing list for Pidgin, libpurple, and finch, and it is {{{devel@pidgin.im}}} ([http://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo Mailing Lists]).  Users and developers alike are welcome to post to this mailing list, and indeed many topics on the list are about usability and features, rather than nitty-gritty development details.
17We maintain two general-topics mailing lists for Pidgin, libpurple, and Finch. They are `devel@pidgin.im` and `support@pidgin.im` ([http://pidgin.im/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo Mailing Lists]).  Users and developers alike are welcome to post to these mailing lists.

19Initially `devel@pidgin.im` was the only list available, and handled all issues.  It will continue in this respect--development and support issues are welcome to this list.  Many of the issues discussed here are not development details, but instead things like usability and features.
     20
21We created `support@pidgin.im` specifically because too many users complained that there was no mailing list for questions.  This list has fewer subscribers, but the core developers and a few others who are active in user support are present on the list.  We make an effort to answer every question.

5963=== When will the next version be released? ===
60 The schedule for releases is every third Thursday.  However, a new version will only be released if it meets a certain standard of quality (i.e., it will not be released if it still has a large number of serious bugs).  Therefore, some releases will take longer than others.  Major rewrites means lots of new bugs to work out.  The new version will be released as soon as it is possible to do so.  The [/roadmap Roadmap] gives best-guess estimates, but take them with a grain of salt--if we aren't ready to release on a Milestone's due date, we won't release,, and that milestone will fall into "past due."
